Travis was born and raised in Saskatchewan. His father, since retired, worked for the provincial government as a conservation officer which allowed the family the opportunity to live throughout the province and enjoy the all that the province had to offer.
Travis is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan, where he achieved his Bachelor of Commerce degree. Since convocation Travis has worked in the service and not-for profit industries gaining valuable perspective and experience. In 2009, Travis joined the Atlas Appraisal Services team as a candidate appraiser. Since this time, Travis’s responsibilities and assignments have progressively become larger and more challenging as his experience and education levels increased. In early 2017 Travis achieved his AACI, P.App, designation and continues to complete a vast array of appraisal assignments out of the Vegreville office, with a large number of these files being agricultural in nature – this experience gained over the past number of years has given Travis a strong proficiency for completing agricultural based appraisal assignments.
Along with his wife, Nancy, and hound, Odin, Travis welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Jade, in February 2015, and a bouncing baby boy, Finn, in April 2017. Jade & Finn make each day an adventure as they begin to explore their world more and more – an adventure that Travis and Nancy are excited to take with them!
Even though their personal lives are busy, Travis & Nancy, still look for ways to give back to the community through groups like the Vegreville Crisis Association, Rotary, the Vegreville Community Daycare Society and the Vegreville Fire Department, as they believe without volunteerism many social programs that enrich a community, such as Vegreville, would simply cease to exist.
