Kelly was raised in a couple of small towns in Alberta and ended up in Lloydminster in 1997 where she attended high school. After experiencing a bit of the city life in Edmonton for a few years, she decided to go the college route and ended up back in Lloydminster at Lakeland college, where she took a Business Management Diploma.
After receiving her diploma with honors, she worked in the oil and gas industry – for Lloydminster’s most prominent oil company for over five years. Although she did enjoy it and was successful, she realized she had a desire for more education and returned to full time studies. She received her Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Athabasca University with Great Distinction in 2013 and began working with Atlas Appraisals. Most recently, in Feb 2022, she received her AACI Designation through the Appraisal Institute of Canada and became Atlas’s fourth commercially designated appraiser.
She’s the proud wife of a local oil field worker and mother to one daughter, with family expansion plans currently in the works!
Her favorite quote, from Alberta Schweitzer: “In the hopes of reaching the moon, men fail to see the flowers that blossom at their feet” – it’s important to set goals and strive for them, but don’t get so caught up in the future that you don’t notice how beautiful the present is.
